The purpose of NAA is to provide a safe forum for nurses to identify and discuss issues associated with nursing and the practice environment. NAA encourages all nurses to work collaboratively to improve and promote high standards of nursing practice, education, and professional development.
Our goal is to foster quality and effective healthcare delivery systems by promoting creative and dynamic learning environments for the safety and general welfare of nurses and the people they serve. The relationship between the nurse and nursing leadership is pivotal to the wellbeing and success of nurses. NAA views the role of nursing leadership as key to resource allocation, collaboration, learning, strategic planning, and communication, each of which are critical to the nurse and their individual practice.
